2011 Week 1 - January 1 - January 7

I finished my first pair of socks and I don't love them as much as I want to. They are stinkin' adorable but I should have made the fabric denser. I am going to rip them out and re-knit them at some point with a tighter tension.

I love the mismatched stripes.

And so it begins...

For a while now, I have been thinking of starting a blog to keep track of and share the projects I am working on. I had a great time in October dressing my baby, Minnie, in a costume each day to share on Facebook. Lately I have been having fun with my Thing A Week, where I have been posting a picture each week of something I made. So far I have shared both knit and sewn items. Later there may be other types of crafty projects.

I have always loved creating things, from cross-stitch and paint by number as a child to sewing and knitting today. Hopefully you will enjoy it too!
